00 Gauge Midland Region ‘Train Set’ Layout

Lovely layout 6’x4′ set anywhere in the Midland region between 1947 and 1965.

The layout features an exquisite landscape where the railway disappears into the vastness of the space available for the lovely little village. The village boasts a blacksmiths, school, church and a couple of cottages, as well as a station and coal siding. Next to the war memorial is the village pond, where you can also catch a bus.

The village is nestled in a valley and the landscape rises up and out past the church, which sits imposingly on the hillside, overlooking all the residents.

The layout has been built with Peco code 75 streamline throughout. Buildings have switched lighting, along with platform lamps. Points are electrically operated. The layout is wired for DCC.

The layout had been built from ply and block construction in order to reduce weight for transportation.
